Meet The Darcy

The PurseForum, a forum for women who love handbags, and Rebecca Minkoff, a self-made handbag designer, are no unlikely pair. Their relationship started early in the Rebecca Minkoff brand’s beginnings when members of the PurseForum discovered the designer-on-the-rise, and were immediately struck by Cupid – literally. A brand orginally inspired by the idea of the “downtown romantic,” Rebecca aptly named her handbags with love themes, one of the most iconic being The Cupid, next to, of course, the famous M.A.B. Now, a few years (and hundreds of handbags) later, the forum and the designer have joined forces to create a collaboration bag, inspired by the votes and feedback of the forum members and created by Rebecca herself, incorporating her trademark design elements and expertise.
Introducing, The Darcy – a bowler-style satchel, combining the best elements of Rebecca’s beloved Cupid and M.A.B. handbag styles into one new iconic style. The bag is made of structured, premium Italian leather (Rebecca’s favorite leather, actually), and comes in two colors: black and periwinkle. The bag features pale gold hardware, zipper details with tassels, short top-handles, an optional long strap for cross-body wear and the trademark M.A.B. front flap design. The Rebecca Minkoff x PurseForum collaboration handbag is made right where the brand started, here in New York City.
