Postcards From Morocco

Djemaa-El-Fna-at-night

An orchestra of sounds; a rainbow of colors; an alluring cocktail of scents and spices.

When we think of Morocco, those are but a few of the things that come to mind. Located off the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, this North African country offers a slice of the Sahara served alongside picture-perfect beaches and rugged mountains. It’s where Middle Eastern magic meets multicultural tradition, with a dash of European flair.

It’s no wonder that our Associate PR Director, Autumn Furr, chose Morocco as her honeymoon destination. Read on for a photo diary of highlights from Autumn’s time in Marrakech, one of Morocco’s largest cities.

Entrance-- night

“The highlight of my time in Marrakech was definitely my visit to La Mamounia Hotel – walking into the newly-renovated, historical hotel felt like entering a palace!”

Gardens

“The grounds were breathtaking with beautiful gardens that wrapped around the hotel.”

Le Bar Italien

“Going into the same hotel bar that legends like Mick Jagger and Winston Churchill once frequented was an experience in its own.”

Le Marocain -- salads

“We had the privilege of eating at La Marocain, the hotel’s Moroccan restaurant, where we drank local wine and ate the best food that we had in all of Morocco.”

Outdoor Pool

“I would strongly recommend this gem of a hotel to anyone visiting Marrakech. In fact, I’m already planning a return on my five-year anniversary!”
